Need Firewall to run with Norton Antivirus

since i do not want to run two antivirus programs at the same time ofcourse,

i dont want to use AVG 7.0 because it is both antivirus and a firewall

what would be a good solid firewall that is free to use with Norton Antivirus running.

after reading about Norton being a resource hog, i deleted Norton.

and am going to go with Sygate and AVG. Will that be a good combo?

ALso, will I have to disable the firewall settings of AVG?? to allow for Sygate to be the firewall only?

OR

just use AVG with firewall and antivirus.

Thanks, sorry to ask again, but I have had so many computer problems and am now finally starting from a fresh start again and would like to keep my system clean.

 

There is also AVG Free Edition which does not come with a firewall; or you can chose to purchase AVG Plus Firewall and not download the Sygate firewall.

 

Yes AVG Free and Sygate are a good combo to have. I used to use these both together and didnt have any problems with them.
