Need for speed uG2 install errors

At 27 Percent done. I get a error saying a prob accured while tryin to transfer "cars\rx7\vinyls.bin". Any idea what to do about this??

 

The vinyl seems to be corrupted.

 

The file extension *.bin stands for binary. These files are used extensively in DOS and WIN9X, mostly for running 16-bit software, including some utilities and driver calls. There are also some old DOS utilities with *.bin file exensions.
If you downloaded the game most likely chance is you got a corrupted file with your download, however if its a legitemat story bought copy or such its probably corrupted as well. Making any sence?

OK try looking for the vinyl with the .bin extension thats corrupted on the net.
You could use an editor to play around with it but i wouldnt suggest it.
There is a way around it, it all depends how much time, patiance and knowledge you have.
For some reason Im more and more convinced its a pirated copy badly compressed

 

Actually i get the SAME problem on my CD1 of Command N Conquer Generals; at 13% it stops copying it over and hands me this error. Problem with my CD1 is that its too scratched.

 

i had a similar problem with nfs2. i think(been a while) theres three install types, i tried a different one and it worked fine, if that doesnt work try burning it slower..
