I'm very unsure about this issue and am looking for any help or anyone to at least point me in the right direction! So I had the very old archaic system that I've revamped with the help of my friends. (This is all the basic stuff then I'll get on more with my issue...)

I'm running an old eMachines T3104 with:
    AMD Sempron 3100+
    2Gb DDR OCZ RAM
    VisionTek XGE Radeon 3100
and added an extra 160Gb HDD so I had somewhere to put all my music and movies....

So after I had received all of the extra mods I also got a copy of windows 7 Ultimate 32bit edition... acquired by not so legitimate means and an activator disc with a loader program...

My issue is now that I have everything installed and running right I'm finally happy and was trying to download TF2 so I could play with my friend but MY COMPUTER KEEPS FREEZING! I don't understand as to why but It freezes and it's really lame... I'm kind of OCD and this is REALLY bugging me... so yeah... halp?

Please don't rip on me for the not so conventional acquiring of 7... I know it could be faulty... and I know what can happen... thanks,

Since it's not legitimate copy, legal issues prevent helping you out.

    HI

Well, not going to "rip" on you Magas at all, but you may never find the cause of the freezing as indeed it could be the Win7 version you have as many of the version floating around dont have all the files that are needed and could even contain malware, also Microsoft have been releasing updates for a while that will cause problems with the hacked activator files

As we do not condone the use of warez at majorgeeks, but in the end legit software is your best course of action.... sermon over.

You could look into things yourself and areas to look at are:

So is it freezing while downloading a file, if so what browser or download app are you using to get this file, see if they can cause issues, change them.
If you look in Event Logs for System and Application do you get any errors listed at the exact time of the freeze, look up the error code and faulting file.

so sadly you wont gain help here as we need to tread lightly in the area of warez as Majorgeeks is a business not a hobby site, so can attract legal issues from companies etc as we deal with many of them and their employees do visit the forum.
