Would like to know if someone recommends a good one to buy for a single home pc.

The Linksys WRT54G wireless router includes what could be considered a hardware firewall. If you prefer not to have wireless, they do still make a non-wireless version but I don't remember the model.

You should still run a software firewall on you computers.

I am not using a router. Maybe that is what I'm looking for. Someone told me that I needed some piece of hardware that goes in line with my internet connection to act as a firewall. ?????????
