Need HD help ?

I'm running XP and win 7 as a dual boot setup and working great.

Bottom line: I want to move everything from my 1 TB drive to a 250 gig drive.
Note; I'm going to add this (mentioned) 250 gig hard drive soon.

I'm using easeus partition master 9 in Win XP pro OS.

Question:
I want to copy the Disk 1 to this new 250 gig HD and then remove the 1 TB drive. The Easeus partition program has a copy the disk option;

What am I in for ??

 

Just open up explorer in what ever OS that you want to use, and drag the files over, or do a "move" by right clicking the files you want, and then do a "paste" by right clicking in the other explorer window.

 

Thx for the quick reply & help but I want to "basically" clone disk 1 (which is setting in a 1 TB drive now) to a new 250 gig drive !!!
Then remove the old drive.

 

You basically can't just clone a drive, without having inherent problems from it. Windows Easy transfer may work.

Appreciate your advice but there's a lot of software out here that speaks of clone the HD all the time but haven't tried anything yet.
