NEED Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I recently got a panasonic tough book c47, I had to replace the hard drive. I keep getting save to disk feature not availible, save to disk file not found. The message appears in a red box. I am a computer novice and I need help. Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I Would like to get this laptop up and running real soon.

I'm assuming this error comes up immediately after powering up the PC. I believe there's a BIOS setting that you disable to prevent this error. I've seen similar messages on other older laptops and I was able to get around it by disabling the feature in the BIOS setup.

ok, i,m totally lost so break it down for me please. how do I fix this problem. Your help is greatly appreciated and thanks.

Well, if the error you're getting is the same one I'm thinking of, you can disable the whole 'save to disk' feature in the BIOS setup. When you first power up, you should see something like "Press [F2] to enter Setup" or something very similar. Some PC's use the Del key, others use F1.... get into the BIOS and look around for the "save to disk" entry, or something that very closely resembles the message your getting. Then change it from enabled to disabled. That's how I fixed it on an old WinBook.... but your PC may be different and not have the option to enable or disable the save to disk BS...

 

Thanks for the info, I can get into the set up, however I see the BIOS version but I can not highlite it to enter it like I can other features. What can I do. I just want to get an operating system on the computer and be able to use it. Really lost in cyber space. so any help is appreciated.
