   I am a work at home mom, I work on my HP w/XP 2005, all of a sudden I start getting red boxes on everything; attachments, pictures, documents, can't view anything. Right click does not give option to view the file, have already allowed all file extensions to be viewed--PLEASE help! I need a hero!!!:banghead

   That sounds like malware, maybe Internet Security 2010 (bad). It is definitely something you want to get rid of.
   
   The easiest thing to try, use system restore and go back to a time before the red boxes started appearing.
