Need help! After installing Trend Micro Antivirus + Antispyware my laptop is not connecting to its wireless. It keeps saying "Intel PROSet/Wireless software was unable to detect a supported wireless adapter. Please install supported adapter." I even tried getting on line by connecting my laptop directly to a LAN line. Still won't connect.

Help, please? :cry

First thing you should do is go into your device manager and see if you have any yellow exclamation points showing up. You may need to reinstall the driver for you computer.

If you are using XP, you do this by:

[FONT=Arial, Arial, Helvetica]Right-click My Computer, click Properties, click the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager.[/FONT]

Yeah, I cannot connect to the internet whatsoever on my laptop. How do I go about replacing/re-installing the driver? Because it saying the driver is being provided by Trend Micro? And I started having problems when I uninstalled Trend Micro.

Go here
http://www.intel.com/network/connectivity/products/wireless/proset/proset_software.htm
and click on the image to enlarge it. Fire up your Intel PROSet/ wireless software and look over the settings. You might have to click on the Profiles and delete the one managed by Trend Micro.

It would also help if you mentioned brand and model of laptop and what version of windows you are running. We can not even begin to suggest any drivers until we have that information.

Dell Inspiron E1505 is the brand. I am running Windows XP. And thanks for the tip on the previous note, I will try it out.:-o
