need help bad

i was adding a user to my computer -compaq presario sr1103wm and everything got huge, my icons got big and even when i am on a webpage everything got really big. how do i fix it back to the way it was??? please help i am a computer illiterate person

Do you have a scroll mouse? If so, hold down the "control" button on your keyboard while scrolling, and the text size will change. Or, if you're using Internet Explorer, go to "view", then "text size" and choose something smaller than the one that is checked.

Wait. Your desktop icons got big, too? Sounds like you've somehow managed to change your screen resolution. Right click anywhere on your desktop there isn't an icon, and choose "properties". Go to the "settings" tab, and in the "screen area" section move the slider to a larger setting (probably 1024 x 768).

 

thank you sgt.tibbs but its everything. meaning even like usually the windows at the bottom of the screen are alot smaller than they are now. and when i am on a webpage everything is huge. everything used to be smaller even in my favorites when i clicked that it wouldnt take up much space now when i click it ,it goes all the way to the bottom of the screen.
