Need help Converting Video!

i need something that will take .avi and make it into .vob, .ifo, or .bup, so that i can put them on DVD. I've tried several programs and nothing has worked. If you have something that would allow me to put .avi on DVD that would be awesome too. Something freeware please.

 

DVDFlick is an excellent easy to use free program for converting AVI files (and most other formats) to standard DVD compliant files and burning 'em to a blank DVD+/-R for playback in your home DVD player. I used DVD Flick for a long time (still do sometimes) and never had a bad burn that was the result of DVDFlick; any bad burns were due to bad source AVI files. Just be sure a blank DVD is in the DVD burner before starting, load your files, and click Create DVD. Easy. Another good free program is FAVC but it doesn't burn the disc; it only creates the files structures for DVD and you then burn it with Nero or whatever. Both of these work great.
