Need Help Eliminating Spyware

    I have an incredibly annoying Spyware program infecting my computer that opens up pop-up ads every few minutes, effectively knocking me out of fullscreen programs (the intervals between popping seem to change).
    I have updated Spybot and Adware completely and they haven't eradicated it, nor has deleting all of my temporary files helped.
    I think it's a running task going by several names, and when I end them they reopen automatically. Some names I've seen are CzidS, QwyRa, and Iel277g.
    Any suggestions as to what I could do?

    Alright, I completed every step except the virus scanning (both of the links gave me error pages). The problem still persists, however.

    Sorry for the slow response, haven't had much spare time lately. I'm on Windows XP. I used to have a virus scan installed until I reformatted and I haven't gotten around to downloading one on 48k.

    The Panda scan tells me the page does not exist in the pop-up window. I managed to get TrendMicro to work (by switching from Firefox to IE) but it didn't delete the problem.

    Windows Security tells me my system does not meet the requirements for the scan, and RAV Antivirus says its downloads section is closed.

    When you go to the Rav link you need to just click in the box where it says:
    To continue without subscribing click here.

    Then select Auto Clean and click Scan My PC

    You said TrendMicro did not fix the problem. Did it find a problem and not fix it or are you saying it did not fix the original problems.

    For the trojanscan there is no reason that you should not be able to meet the minimum requirements. Did you read what it said and do it:
    Internet Explorer 5.0 or later with ActiveX enabled How to check/set your IE settings
    I'm sure you must have greater the IE 5.0 if you have WinXP.

    Try running all the scans using Internet Explorer not Firefox. Try running Panda again.

    You must get a full virus scan application on you PC. If you used to have one, why didn't you just reinstall it. If you don't have it anymore, there are several free ones here Avast, AVG, and Antivir. Since you only have a 48k modem, Antivir is the smallest of the three.

    If still having a problem after all the above, download HijackThis and read the sticky thread titled Hijack This Tutorial And How To Post Your Log File for info about posting HijackThis logs. Follow the instructions and post the log as a .txt file attachment.

    Please don't offer advice if you do not know what you are talking about. WinXP does not have a scandisk function. It has an Error-checking function. Also there is no reason the Panda online scan should not work as long as Active X controls are not disabled. All of the suggested spyware removal programs should run just fine on any PC that is capable of running WinXP as this user has.

    TrendMicro found and deleted a different program, other than the one I'm posting about and having trouble with. I can't remember the operation name.

    And I was mistaken, I do have Avast downloaded, but it didn't detect anything.

    The RAV Antivirus is currently updating. Anyway, I'll see what it does along with McAfee Stinger.
