Need Help FAST please!

    I reformatted a compaq presario sr1220nx

    When I try to download the drivers (the internet is working), it starts to download @ 9% finished and 16.0 kb/s but does not go any further. I've tried downloading from multiple websites (i.e. hp.com & cnet.com). Please help me!

    First, we need to know which version of Windows you're using. Second, are you using the ethernet port or a wifi adapter? Third, I'd say the driver for the internet is faulty and that's causing the problem, or somehow the TCPIP stack (or WinSock) has somehow been corrupted. It would be best if you could attach an Everest report as per the instructions in this thread, follow the steps in the quoted section.
