Need help finding scanned documents

I scanned some important documents last week, and cannot find them. I was in a hurry when I scanned them. I looked in my scanned folder, but they are not there. I did not give them any certain name, just the scan# name that popped up. I'm not sure what folder it was. I know what day I scanned them. Is there any way that I can look at a history of computer activity on that day, and see what I did? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You could search for all documents created on a specific date, and depending on version of Windows this is done in various ways

Could and this is a very outside chance as dont know what you did that day or if they where saved once scanned as some scanners if you do multiple docs in a row dont save until you save the very last one, is to if by some chance they where deleted to run this on your C: drive and check to see if it can recovery any docs, app is called Recuva and is free and works very well.

Why not scan again, any file is ok, then look carefully where is the default folder.
If you have not changed the setting, usually scanned again, then it will pop up and ask you to save in a folder, the folder may be the one where your important documents were saved in.
But some scanner like Toshiba, it has set an fixed iuput folder, if you can't find in there, the files maybe lost.
