Need Help For Error 0x80040256

First of all hello everyone I hope you guys are having a great week.!
Well I have a sound problem with a Dell Latitude/D620. I install windows xp home addition. so after installing and running the program I wanted to run window media player but it give me an error which is said the following.!


"You either do not have a sound card installed on your computer or it is not functioning properly. If you do not have a sound card installed, you must install one before you can listen to audio in a digital media file. If you do have a sound card installed, refer to its documentation to troubleshoot the problem.

Error ID = 0x80040256, Remedy ID = 0x00000000"

can pls anyone help me out.. thank you..!!

You want to go to Dell's site and get the chipset and audio driver for your laptop. Install the chipset driver, reboot and then install the audio driver.
