    Hello

I'm using Win XP Pro, I want to format.

I have tried many things but when I go to instal a new copy and go to format, it says I can't because needed files for installattion on on the hard drive.

I have booted with the CD but that didn't help.

I have formatted before, I don't know what I did, I can't seem to delete this partition.

Ok I did what you said but I don't know what I'm sapposed to do.

I reinstalled again but never got the message asking if I wanted to switch to NTFS and format, I am already on NTFS though.

I just want to format, I have a win ME CS but I want to go straight to XP Pro.

    Anything else I can try?

Does this mean you are running ME and want to upgrade to XP?

If so, post back and I'll run you through the procedure
