I have a really old camera that came with 3 other cameras and a moniter. I think it's a security camera. And I want to hook it up to my PC, if that's possible.

    It's a Samsung Black and White SSC-17C.

It runs through a telephone wire (the one with the weird ends)

My PC is an Emachines with Celeron D and Windows XP.

When I hook up the telephone wire to the camera and the back of the PC nothing happens. Can anyone tell me a step-by-step process of installing it. And I don't have any CD.

    Thanks.

Do I need a DVR? It's not a digital camera.

If it is a Seccurity camera you need a capture card, driver and softs.

I have a program that records desktop activity. Would that count as a capture card or is it something completely different?

And could you elaborate on the softwares needed?

    Thanks
