I have a preloaded dell xps with vista home and I want to change to Vista business. I have Vista business in an ISO file. I have opened the ISO file and have 8 files. I have made a bootable disk with these files, but it will not work. It has a setup file and a bootmgr file that I can not open with wordpad or IE.

Can I run the setup file and install it this way or do I need to make it bootable?

    Thanks

Unless you have a real genuine copy with the real Microsoft CD you are not able to install on another machine. You won't get much help on how to burn a pirated copy.

To upgrade to business you need to do this through the online Anytime Upgrade system or by purchasing an upgrade disk. What you are attempting to do is not legal and MajorGeeks.com will not support or advise you in this. But you were already told all this in your other thread here http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=162909

Also the Home Editions are not upgradeable to the Business Edition, but you were told that also :)
