My Auto updates just doesnt work, it was greyed out but ive fixed that and there also wasnt the automatic updates service is services.msc but i have fixed that problem aswel but i still cant manage to get it to work i have it set to automatic and daily yet nothing happens when its suppose to update.

I havnt had automatic updates since i can remember having the computer and i cant download them from the microsoft website because i cant get internet explorer to install because it could not verify the integrity of update.inf and there is no cryptographic service.

    My system information is:
    Computer:
    Computer Type ACPI Multiprocessor PC
Operating System Microsoft Windows XP Professional
OS Service Pack Service Pack 2
    Internet Explorer 7.0.5730.11 (IE 7.0)
    DirectX 4.09.00.0904 (DirectX 9.0c)

    Motherboard:
    CPU Type DualCore Intel Pentium D 805, 2666 MHz (20 x 133)
    Motherboard Name Intel Grand County D101GGC (2 PCI, 1 PCI-E x1, 1 PCI-E x16, 2 DDR DIMM, Audio, Video, LAN)
Motherboard Chipset ATI Radeon Xpress 200
System Memory 1536 MB (PC3200 DDR SDRAM)

If anyone could help with any of these problems i would be very grateful, Thanks

I have tried downloading from the website multiple times and always the same error message. My internet explorer is screwed whenever i open a new window or try to put an address into the address bar it says:

the requested lookup key was not found in any active activation context
I only use mozilla now and you cant install the updates if you are using mozilla.
I also cannot install any newer versions of explorer either, when i get into the update website it prompts me to install windows update, i currently have version 7.0.5 of internet explorer

This is the error message i get on the windows update website:

The website has encountered a problem and cannot display the page you are trying to view. Take the following steps to try solving the problem:
Refresh the page. I read the support wep page but it didnt help.
In Internet Explorer, delete your Temporary Internet Files by going to the Tools menu and clicking Internet Options.
Close and then re-open Internet Explorer.

Read more about steps you can take to resolve this problem (error number 0x8DDD0004) yourself

I have been searching the internet for possible solutions and i think i may have found the cause but i cant find the solution.

i think that its because on my computer i do not have a cryptographic service just an idea but if anyone knows how to get the service back and start running im sure it would help with some of my problems.

For some reason i cannot access that webpage i can access every other page on that website but just not that page? I tried inputting just those .dll's that you have posted and they were all successful except "net start cryptsvc" it said:

    The service name is invalid
More help is available by typing NET HELPMSG 2185

I reset after that and there is still no cryptographic service.
You also said that there was a batch file there for me to download but i couldnt see anything there to download?

I tried the gpedit.msc thing but at the last stage in software restriction policies it says:

    No software restriction policies defined

And i do have a windows xp pro disc and i have already tried a repair install but i will try it again and i have ran sfc /scannow but it just exits when its finished?

I just ran the install from the disc but there was an error is said

    C:$win_nt$.~bt\ad6acphi.sys could not be found

    missing system file

    setup failed

Well im going to try that post by claymore and if theres still no luck i will have no other choice but to reformat.

The disc is service pack 2 so im downloading service pack 3 to slipstream using autostreamer
