    I have an asus laptop with windows 8 pro as OS. Just yesterday it suddenly shutdown out of the blue. I was surfing at the time. When I booted it again it just showed black screen. So what I did was use Automatic Repair. After that I was able to log in and use it but something was wrong I checked the task manager and I saw one weird item in the startup section, _C4A2FC3E3722966204FDD8.exe. And I also noticed that computer became a bit slower.
    So I did followed the instructions you posted on removing malwares.
    Could someone tell me whats wrong? Thanks.

    Welcome to Major Geeks!
    Right click on C:\MGtools\ReZip.bat and select Run As Administrator, then look in the C:\MGtools folder for a slightly different zip file named MGlogsR.zip Attach it to your next message.

    Did you install the below application?
    [TASK][SUSP PATH] Hoolapp For Android : C:\Users\PULIDO~1\AppData\Roaming\HOOLAP~1\UPDATE~1\UPDATE~1.EXE /Check [x] -> FOUND
    [TASK][SUSP PATH] Hoolapp Init : C:\Users\pulidoj84\AppData\Roaming\HoolappForAndroid\Hoolapp.exe /Minimized [x] -> FOUND

    Will try that, as for those two I can't remember exactly, are those dangerous files?

    I cannot say that it is dangerous ( all though some do >> http://greatis.com/appdata/d/_/_appdata__hoolappforandroid_hoolapp.exe.htm ) I would more say that it is junkware and/or may install junkware.

    If you do not know what it is then it should not be on your PC.

    It's only one thing. Yes if you are sure you did not install it and do not need it then simply delete the below folder:

    C:\Users\pulidoj84\AppData\Roaming\HoolappForAndroid

    The _C4A2FC3E3722966204FDD8.exe file you mentioned in your first message is just from ASUS FancyStart

    There is no real malware in your logs. I only see a little bit of junkware that could be cleaned up. Like SpeedyPC Software folders and miscellaneous other stuff you can run the below which may take care of some of this.

    Please download Junkware Removal Tool to your desktop.
    • Shut down your protection software now to avoid potential conflicts.
    • Run the tool by double-clicking it. If you are using Windows Vista or Seven, right-mouse click it and select Run as Administrator.
    • The tool will open and start scanning your system.
    • Note: That JRT may reset your home page to a google default so you will need to restore your home page setting if this happens.
    • Please be patient as this can take a while to complete depending on your system's specifications.
    • On completion, a log (JRT.txt) is saved to your desktop and will automatically open.
    • Attach JRT.txt to your next message.

    Okay that cleaned up the junk I was referring too.

    If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware.
    2. Go back to step 4 oof the READ ME and renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it.
    3. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis. If you don't see it or it will not uninstall, don't worry about it. Just move on to the next step.
    4. If running Vista or Win 7, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click ( if running Vista, Win7, or Win 8 Right Click and Run As Administrator ) on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    6. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    7. If you are running Win 7, Vista, Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • Refer to the cleaning procedures pointed to by step 6 of the READ ME
        for your Window version and see the instructions to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and Enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.
    8. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
