alright, hoping i'm doing this in the right forum, but i'd appreciate it if you guys could help me out

i spent a lot of time in this computer programming project in school, and i saved it on an 3 1/2 floppy disk to work on it at home. when i put it into my home computer, i tried to access the disk but it says i have to format it. I know that when i format it, it erases all the data on the disk. My question is...is there some way to the access data on an unformatted disk?

i don't want to redo my whole project again, but if i have to i guess i will. thanks in advance

Can you read the disk at school?

    jarcher I can't handle a title

    if yes

are the computers the same at school and at home?
    same OS?
    if yes

how long have you been away from the disc?
did you leave it near a computer?

    if you did

magnets are bad for floppy discs, they erase them(common knowledge)
computers and other electronics have and EMF (electromagnetic field)
not only do EMF's suck the data off a disc, they also suck the energy out of a person.
