    Hello everyone,

I need some adivice on how to remove 2 programs which i downloaded from this site. The programs are AOK ramfreer and Bysoft free ram. I tried to remove them by using their unistallers, and partially succeeded, all the files were removed except for the exe. And i'm still seeing their icons on the desktop near the clock. That is why i couldnt simply erase them, windows is telling that they are still running. I tried to close them using alt+cntl+del and them erase them, but they dont come up in the program menu. Is there a way to get rid of them somehow, by using a removing utility of some kind or by any other means? If anyone knows something please help.

Easy, just start up in safe mode and manually delete the files from wherever they're installed to

Try also to use CCleaner. It's free. Or if it doesn't help, maybe the programs are included in autorun process list. Check it up in Start-Run-msconfig-autorun tab. If you delete programs from that list, they won't be run at startup at least.

Thanks for the reply, guys. I did try ccleaner, but those programs are not on the list and therefore cant be removed. A thought about starting up in safe mode has crossed my mind. However, its been a while since i've done that and i cant remember how to do it, can someone please remind me? Also i'm having a similar problem with removing 2 other utilities also downloaded from this site, they are bios finder and bios patcher, those are not in startup i think, is starting up in safe mode in order to get rid of them is the way to go in this case as well?

During POST (where you your system specs on the black screen at startup) press F8 If you're not sure when to press the key just press it over and over again until it works through the whole startup. That method works every time, for absolutley everything....all the time :D

Or you can boot into Safe Mode like this
    Go to Start>Run
    Type in msconfig
    Go to the BOOT.INI tab
    Place a checkmark on /SAFEBOOT
Now restart your pc and voila, Safe Mode
To go back to normal mode, do the same process in Safe Mode and uncheck the /SAFEBOOT box
