You should be able to download service manual at Dell's web.
There Web sucks, but it's there, might take some creative searching.
I had downloaded one for my latitude, sorry I dont have it anymore, sold my laptop got rid of anything related.

I have an Inspiron and had to replace the LCD and I'll tell you how easy it was... first off I realize that you have a latitude and that's not an inspiron BUT they're both dell's so very similar when it comes to something like the display.

In my case my computer was still under warranty and my backlight burnt out. I called dell support and went through a daisy chain of customer service people before I finally got the result of Dell sent someone TO my location and replaced the screen free of charge since I was under warranty I was VERY impressed. I watched him replace it and it was this simple:

Around the screen you'll notice either rubber stoppers or little black plastic circles or a combination of both. Behind all those are screws. Take off all the rubbers and plastic circles and remove the screws... once this is done the frame around the screen will come off. In order to get to the connection plug on the motherboard you must remove the plastic guard above your keyboard (the guard that the power button should be located depending on model) to do that simply lay the display flat back and pry the plast guard above the keyboard off using whatever means it takes. Behind that you'll see the cable coming from the LCD display into the motherboard simply unpluig any connections that lead to the screen and pull it out... and Bingo... your done

I am assuming your replacing the screen or something to that effect so obviously just reverse order everything back into place and your all set! Good luck hope that helps
