need help removing oofice to restore damaged file

i need help or info on how to remove open office
since i did a nog scan it showed up that one of the files is damaged.
and the only way to restore it is to uninstall it
this seemed a thankless task as i used cc,windows add and remove, delete dr,
and kill box both of these to no joy
and all resorting in a windows c++ Runtime error making it close down

 

Do you still have the setup.exe......probably in the OpenOffice folder?

Run it, should give you a repair/uninstall option.

yes i have and tried both .
both came up with the following error cann't uninstall because either u are in safemode if not please notify
the other setup.exe said wrong os
tried to install new version from o.o web sight and that came up with runtime error on c:\program file\msiexe.exe
then dear dr watson poped up

 

Run the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility for OpenOffice then try the install/uninstall.

but it looks like it here to stay grrrrrrr.
the window installer came up with there is no script file in the vbs

Click on the link below and scroll down to # 94 on the left (Windows Installer Fix) run it and then try the Cleanup Utility again.

the tweak worked
but still no joy dislodging open office
keep on getting windows installer not working because either in safe mode or not installed properly.
i havent given up the fight yet although it driven me to :cry and :banghead
