This is an old computer running Win98, more than likely, an old version. It's not my computer. The hard disk was almost completely filed with programs that were no longer used. I was asked to clean it up. I removed a number of programs trying to be carefull not to remove anything that might be part of the system. However, I believe I did! It boots up no problem but there is no information in the status bar, ie. no start button & in the far right no loaded program icons, just blank? By chance is there an option I have messed up or did I remove the application that produces the status bar information? Specfically the START button? Mister goofup

Mister goofup here... Don't need any help on my question. After posting my request, I noticed the right side of the screen seemed a little short so I proceeded to drag it over & would you believe the status bar showed up there so I dragged it down to the bottom where I want it. Thanks again for anybody who has tried to help me. All is well now!! See ya!
