Need HELP! Want to remove replicating Elitum.ElitebarBHO

This Darn thing came on my computer while I was gone and my son was using it. It has replicated itself all over my computer. I have deleted it a hundred times and it comes back. It is EVERYWHERE I tell ya! Please Help Me
I have run Adaware, CWShredder, and HijackThis. I don't know exactly what to do with the log though. I'm afraid I will delete too muchundefined.

Generally, where there is one piece of Malware, more cn be found. With that in mind, it is a good idea to start with the Cleanup Tutorial HERE:
READ ME FIRST BEFORE ASKING FOR SUPPORT: Basic Spyware, Trojan and Virus Removal

This will remove a lot of stuff that would otherwise clog a HJT log.

Please let us know the steps that you are able to complete and the ones that give you problems. Note that you need to be in Safe Mode with System Restore OFF (if you have it - you didn't give OS) and have the Viewing of Hidden Files ENABLED as per the instructions in the link. Make sure to do the Online Scans.

Post back and let us know how you fared. Also, send us a HijackThis Log. Be sure to follow the instructions below:

Note that your HijackThis should be up-to-date (v1.98.2) and MUST be extracted to its own safe folder – C:\Program Files\HijackThis!

Also note that, before you scan, you MUST close all running programs including your web browser, e-mail and items in the system tray.

Please save your HJT Log as a .txt File and attach it via the "Manage Attachments" tool in the Additional Options section when you post.

HELP!I have done everything you told me to do in the order that was specified and still have a replicating elite toolbar. Am having trouble getting the hijack this log file into a text file so I can upload it to the web site. Any suggestions? At this point it has disabled my pop-up blocker and has infected so many files that it is hard to get anything done. Thanks for any help.

My husband downloaded a toolbar removal thing and now I can't bring up the results of the log with the files for the elitum.elite. Now what? As I have been writing this I just got 6 popups.

 

Disoconnect from the internet and run as much of the tutorial as you can again , obviously skipping the things that require an internet connection.

Start with removing what ever tool he used via add/remove in the control panel. Remove any other p2p file sharing, web rebates , tool bar, screen savers etc that you see as well in add/remove.
