Need Help With 123 Photo Viewer

    Hi - I'm brand new here. I actually signed up because I can't find any help on YouTube or Google or Microsoft. I have a Windows 10 PC and I downloaded 123 Photo Viewer. I use it primarily to upload photos from my iPhone to my computer (of the grandkids) and put them in folders so I can use them for various things.
    Starting in March, about half of my photos in the folder show up as an icon or logo of 123 Photo Viewer, rather than the photo itself. If i click on it, the photo is there, but after that it is showing the icon.
    I have tried going into settings and "reset" and "repair" the app, as suggested by the Microsoft tech on the phone. No change.
    Also I wanted to watch a tutorial on how to use 123 but haven't found one. Can't contact the app company either.

    There was a patch that stopped thumbnails from appearing. That's why you see an icon rather than a thumbnail of the picture.

    I run Windows 7 and chose not to install the patch because I didn't want thumbnails turned off.
