Need help with a NET Framework runtime error please

I have had to re-install XP which means all my programs as well. When I try to launch XSitePro I get this message :- NET Framework Initialization error
Unable to find a version of the runtime to run this application.

I have been all over the Microsoft site trying to download upgrades but none have worked.

Can anybody please point me in the right direction as this is the program I need to update my site.

After you installed XP, did you install .NET?

 

Yes, I installed Net , I had to install different versions up to 4 I think. Plus some other things.

 

Did you ever install .Net version 2?

If this does not work, I would contact their support site and ask what the earliest version of .net is required. I would uninstall all instances of .net then use the cleanup utility here.

I would start at .Net v2.0 and work my way up from their seeing it the program will install with each version.

 

Thank you for all your help. I have found that I had V1.1 and V4 installed but not V2. I got rid of 1.1 and put in V2 and that cured it. Now it won't load my back up. Hey Ho.

 

Are you talking about the backup for the program you tried to run or some other backup? You can install 1.1 alongside 2.0 if required.
