Need help with a small project.

I work for a hotel in Arizona and we recently completed a system refresh and got all new PC's and what not. One of the old PC's I decided to turn into a terminal that guests can access in the lobby. The project has gone well so far, I have installed a new copy of XP and setup a guest user acct. and even bought a printer. The problem is the printer cannot be found by my system. I install the driver disk that came with the printer and it runs to a point were it says "USB device cannot be located" or something along those lines.

I dont think any of my USB ports are working...


How to fix?

a cheap fix would be to buy a pci usb port... but i'm the lazy sort

is it plugged in from the back USB ports or the front USB ports (if theres some there) ? .. b/c the ones on the front of the pc need to be plugged in on the motherboard.. maybe there unplugged?

 

Check that the USB ports are not disabled in the BIOS too.
