I have the above software on my computer. Well...I did. I went to use it the other day and it said it was not installed and to try and uninstall and reinstall it. So I did just that...now it won't let me reinstall it. I used to just fine for about 7 months and now nothing. :( Can anyone help? I had one of my coworkers messing with who is a techie kind of guy, but he is hard to pin down, so if someone can help that would be spectacular. :)

I have a Dell 1720 Laptop with Vista and 1 gig of RAM.

What happens when you try to install the program? Any error messages?

    Hi

I would uninstall, then run a PC cleaning app to clean not just the temp folders but the registry and safe-ish of them is CCLeaner, then manually goto Program Files and if you have an Adobe Folder, open it and delete any that have CS3 as part of their name, reboot and run this http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cs3clean.html then reinstall, remember to install in the admin account.

But also let us know any errors or messages you get on re-install as they may highlight what the issue is.

No error message, it simply says there is an error when installing and that it wasn't installed. It will install Adobe Reader and the Shared Components but not Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.

My Dearest Halo, you are a genius! :) I'm completely useless when it comes to figuring these things out and now it works perfectly. I would add however, (just fyi) that I did need to install Windows Installer CleanUp Utility (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301) (no biggie) to run the adobe link you sent, then when I rebooted it said I needed an activation key (everything was preinstalled), so I shut it down and rebooted and got an "Activation Successful" message and everything ran smoothly. Your the best! Thanks again so much for all your help!:-D

Good stuff, did forget the Windows Installer Cleanup Util option ( do know and use it regularly ) so great feedback on that being needed too for this issue.

    Cheers.
