Could someone please help me interpret the attached ComboFix Spyware results? Do I have any spyware? If so, what should I do? (I think ComboFix found some spyware and quarantined it.)

    Thanks!

Thanks for your reply. I have read the Forum Rules & Guidelines and READ & RUN ME FIRST and have been unable to find (or understand what you mean by) a list of all the procedures I must follow in order for you to be able to figure out whether I have a malware problem.

I clicked on a link that I fear might have installed spyware and ran ComboFix to check whether or not I have spyware which might gather personal data such as passwords and credit card info (when I type them in; I don't have them on a file in my computer). The ComboFix report has one line that reads: "ComboFix-quarantined-files.txt 2011-05-05 14:30". I wonder if that means it found malware and if quarantine is enough to keep it from damaging my computer or spying.

My computer has been running slow from time to time. I have cleared out my temporary files, checked for unused programs and attempted to defragment my computer (I got a message that I didn't need to defrag).

Hmm well if you read the link which branches off into other links you will see that I need the following to to run:

    • SUPERantispyware
    • MalwareBytes
    • Combofix
    • MGTools
    • RootRepeal (If not on 64 bit)

Then you attach logs from each of the above mentioned programs which are all a part of our procedures.

To reinforce what Kestrel13! is saying. See the below from Step 7 of the READ & RUN ME
Since you are running Win XP, you should have been clicking on the Windows XP Malware Removal/Cleaning Procedure link which is the actual cleaning instructions. Everything up to step 7 was just prep work.
