Need help with dll32.exe

Hi Can someone tell me where should dll32.dll be placed? I deleted it by mistake and now IE won't run. Thks!

Your IE probably wont run because you have something wrong with your computer. GO through the steps he posted. And check what could be on your computer.

I can't do a online scan because IE won't start. I'm working from another PC. My AV found a trojan with dll32.dll (is dll32.exe related to dll32.dll?) and I deleted it by mistake. Have since found a dll32.dll but am just lost where to place it. Help.

Why would you need IE to run scans? You download off THIS site and run them on your computer. On many programs when scanning, you will have to close your windows so it can keep scanning other wise it can stop it. Also try downloading firefox http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/products/download.html?product=firefox-3.0.8&os=win&lang=en-US Also your IE probably ain't working due to some sort of infection so. Try to run firefox on your computer, download the right programs to scan and get rid of the bad stuff. Also if your confused with what's bad then post your logs after a scan and don't delete yet. Firefox cannot connect to the internet as well. "Proxy server refused connection" while Outlook works fine.

 

I reset IE and now everything works fine. Thks
