Your Trigem is based on ASUSTek and may use Realtek audio. I can suggest IOBit Driver Booster which may be able to detect and recommend the appropriate audio driver but, without the specific model number of the computer I can't point you toward the specific audio driver for it.

I also noticed that you're still only on SP2 with XP. You should download and install SP3 from Microsoft as support for SP2 ended in 2010 and the computer is extremely vulnerable to malware in it's current state.

Hi guys thanks for all your help, I found this old computer outside someones house without a hard drive in it and have been trying to get it working but have no sound as yet!
I think the Motherboard Model number is N1996 but not knowing enough about such things can't be sure, it's the only number that seems obvious.
I have been meaning to download SP3 but have been trying to get the sound sorted first but I'll do that now.
I've come across lots of sites that get you to download they're scanning tool then want cash for the right drivers, and being the cheap skate that I am don't want to pay for something that should really be free and on the net somewhere already.

After reading more information about the company and it's support record, I'd simply scrap the laptop. I don't even know if the company exists any more. I certainly can't find any drivers for it.
