Need help with Promise Ultra66 IDE card

Hi
I have an Promise Ultra66 side controller card.

I have installed it , installed drivers, and flashed the bios.

But it seems like the bios does not want to work..

When I start the computer it says that the bios is not loaded.

Any idea as to what the problem might be.

I am trying to install this card in an Acer Aspire 300Hz, 400Mb, 2 HDD, 2 CDroms.

The secondary side on the mother board is bad so this is why I want to put this card in and use it.

 

Hi:
Only HDDs should be attached to that Promise controller card.
Put your HDDs on it.
Your system BIOS will see the card as a SCSI device so change your Boot Sequence accordingly.
Put your disc (CD/DVD) drives on the motherbpard IDE connectors.
