Need help with spoofer

Hi! Hope someone can help--am being cyberstalked by someone using spoof email to text me. Can't reply to the hateful messages, and it's scary to know someone is watching me. Police can't help of course. All my cell provider can do is block those type messages--and I'd really rather catch the coward! I'm not a major geek, --just a minor one, and am tired of looking over my shoulder. Any suggestions? Thanks!!

 

Perhaps you could get your provider to change your phone number?

And then what? Do something more illegal then what they are doing to you?

I agree with Fred_G. Change your number and then be very selective in who you give your new number to.

Not sure what state you are in, but I believe all states do have cyberstalking laws on the books . . . or just stalking laws, which would apply regardless of the venue. If they told you there was nothing they could do, call again and speak with someone else; the shift OIC or supervisor. They need to put your address down for extra patrol at the outset, and go on from there with an investigation. Whoever told you they couldn't help you is wrong, period.
