Need help with these things!!!!

Hey everyone, amazing site!!

Anyway I recently purchased Neverwinter nights 2 for my PC, and everything seemed fine. However it came up with an error, 'Could not find any compatible 3D devices' to be exact.

After tireless hours of google whoring and research, I worked out that I needed to install directX9.0c, I downloaded the latest one so that should be fine.

So my query now moves on to a video driver or a video card, I don't know which. My dad has had a look at it and he thinks we need a graphics card, however when we installed a very poor video driver another less technical game worked, but only just.

So I think we need a video driver, but I can't make head or tail of it. So can any of you help a poor young man? Any help is greatly, greatly appreciated, being 13 I have no knowledge of the subject.

IV. Supported Video cards

As is noted in the minimum requirements not all video cards have hardware vertex and pixel shader support even though they have the required video memory available. Here is a non-exhaustive list of video cards that we have tested and are supported:

Brand and number please like me i have a geforce 7800 GT 256 megs what your !!!!!

 

yeah downloaded the directX stuff, and I dont have a graphics card I dont think.....lol

Problem sorted I guess, is there any suggestions for a cheap, but good one?

 

okay your graphic card is integrated with your motherboard.....right ???
