Need Help with USB Ports Issue

Hi, today, I tried to sync my songs to my phone using my USB but to find out that it wasn't working. My USB printer isn't working either.. Weird thing is that it worked last week but not now. I went to device manager and updated and disable and reenabled it but it still doesn't work. Weird because the status of the USB Root Hub is "This device is working properly".

Also, when my phone is connected to the computer, it usually charges, but its not charging right now.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

 

Here is something you can try.

Unplug all USB cables, and then do the following:

Goto Device Manager and on the right side under Universal Serial Bus controllers, uninstall every single one of them. Once uninstalled, reboot your computer and it should automatically reinstall everything.

If that didn't fix your problem, you might have the same problem I did, in that, the USB board on my lappy just went bad. Let us know.

 

Another thing I've seen to work on this problem, remove the MOBO battery for 30 minutes, then put back in. This resets the BIOS to factory specs.
