Need Help With Windows 7 Error Check

I'm doing some maintenance on an old build of Windows 7 I have, as I want to get this system in tip top shape. I've always taken care of it, so no virus or major issues I haven't been able to fix. However, I'm running into a strange problem.

Last night I ran error-checking from My Computer (the one where you right-click the drive and use the option under Tools) with both boxes for auto-fix and bad sector repair checked. I restarted and let it run. It didn't give me any post-results, so I assume everything went fine. But when I use the Windows Repair app by Tweaking.com, that check says there are still errors on the disk (but could be a false positive because it is in use at the time). How can I know for sure?

chkdsk /r is the way. Run it from an elevated command prompt and it will run the check after it has restarted the system. That gets around the 'in use' issue. It can take quite some time so pick a time!

Thanks for the reply. I have done the elevated command prompt method many times, so I am familiar with it. I just want to be clear before I re-run that. The issue with the "in use" has to do with Windows Repair checking the disk for errors. I did this after I had already ran chkdsk from My Computer and then restarted it to allow it to run. My question is, after doing this once already, why is it still coming back with errors? Wouldn't re-running chkdsk /r from the prompt just be a repeat of my first step?

Run this batch file and upload the log file.

Will do, attached! Also, peaking at the log it looks like some reparse stuff came back in addition to the other info. It's worth mentioning that I thought Windows Repair found and repaired all those during my last scans. Not sure what's up with that.

    0 bad file records processed.
    0 KB in bad sectors.
This means no problems were found.

Thanks Eldon, really appreciate your insight. Was hoping I might pick your brain on one more thing. The reason I'm working on this PC is I just replaced the failing CPU. So for the last month, I've been experience regular blue screen crashes once or twice a day. I'm worried that I might have done some kind of significant damage to the OS or corrupted something. That's why I'm running these scans. Is there anything else I can do/check to make sure no long-term effects occurred due to all the crashes, or is this about it? Also, what's up with the reparse stuff coming back after I fixed them with Windows Repair? Your help is appreciated as always.

Thanks man, appreciate all the insight. I've already fixed the bluescreen crashes, it was the CPU failing. However, now that I restored from a previous backup of Windows 7, I'm getting activation problems. If you know anything about that, your help would be much appreciated over here in this thread. But either way, thanks a lot!
