need help

my installer program isn't working properly. how do i fix. also none of my roms are working? how to fix the problem.

But this is a different issue... go to Add/Remove Programs and check the little box at the top for 'Show Updates'. Scroll down to Windows Installer 3.1. If it isn't listed, that probably means that you aren't running version 3.1, so you should download it from this link and install it. If it is already installed, it has probably been corrupted. You can try running the Installer Clean Up Utility. The how-to guide and download link are available at this link. If all else fails, you can try uninstalling version 3.1, and re-installing it. Or install the newest version of the MSInstaller which is 4.5. It can be downloaded from this link. There's a great little program called Dial-A-Fix that has a bunch of easy to use repair options, including a Windows Installer repair. Read more about using Dial-A-Fix at the Dial-A-Fix forums.

(NOTE- since you didn't mention it, I'm assuming that you're using Windows XP; all the info I posted above applies primarily to Windows XP, and most of it should work with Vista also, but may not; Dial-A-Fix does NOT run with Vista)
