Need help

hi guys atm im using 'convertxtodvd 3' but i find its full of bugs and im curious is there any recommend software that does the same as this,...please name any software,..it doesnt have to be freeware as i badly need good software!!!!

I use ConvertxtoDVD all the time. And what version of it are you running? Its pretty hard to find a Open Source/Freeware converting program. I find it useful.

 

I either use cyberlink or DVDFab HD Decrypter, but I don't do enough of it to amount to anything

im looking for an extremely high video converter,..it doesnt have to be freeware a 30 day trial etc. will do!!!

The thing about trial software is that it will put a 'watermark' or logo on the final converted video, and this can be annoying. However, there are some great, free, high quality converters available here at MG:
AutoGordian Knot (AGK) http://www.majorgeeks.com/AutoGK_Auto_Gordian_Knot_d5795.html This is used mainly for converting ripped DVDs to AVI (DivX/XViD) files, but should work for other file formats also.
HandBrake http://www.majorgeeks.com/HandBrake_d5801.html Again, mainly for DVD converting, but this goes to HD formats like h263/264 or MP4 formats with MKV or AVI containers
Dr.DivX http://www.majorgeeks.com/Dr._DivX_d5208.html Requires the DivX (download from this link) and will convert just about any video file to DivX.

One thing about video converters: most of 'em are quality adjustable. The higher you set the bit rate (or the larger the target file size), the better the end result will be. Good quality files can be made at 700-900mb with a bit rate of apprx 800-900. I usually use a bit rate of over 1000 (sometimes as high as 1500) and end up with DivX AVI files of about 1.2gb-1.5gb from a full movie from DVD. Video conversion is a VERY resource hungry operation and will take some time. Be patient and try to not use your PC during the conversion process. I usually disable the screen saver and turn of my monitor and go do something else for awhile.

You didn't mention which formats you're going to/from, so I'm not sure the above apps are what you need. Here's some all purpose video converters that will go to/from just about any format:
