Need help..

    Hello.. I was watching TV,seen a commercial about maxmyspeed.com..welL i googled it and came across this web site.Thank God for honest people. I am hoping u all can help me.There r times when i turn on my computer and i click the Internet nothing happens after clicking a few times more my window opens up to the normal google page my home page. sometimes i get a blue screen,sometimes runs slow but these things only happen sometimes..other thing when i goggle to look for something and i find it in the list google gave and i click, instead it goes to something different and i see it flashing back and forth redirect,redirect then finally takes me to another site with a list of website,sometimes redirects me to ask.com things like that.I do have avast running i do a complete scan and always shows no threat found.Can someone please help me.I had mention this to a friend and they said something like a file being messed up but really has no idea. i am not a computer expert and only use my computer for entertainment and web surfing.I never really download anything.i don't even have itunes on it..i have plenty of free space on my computer.was starting to think i need to buy a new computer.then i read somewhere on this website.that people believe there computer in no longer working and needs a new until i seen that ppl on this site can help. Thank you.:confused

    Sure, you have malware and need to look at the malware forum. I've had the same thing and cleaned it up using the guide.

    Anti-virus is not the same as anti-malware. You did good with having Avast but it's not enough.

    ;)yea, you have some infection/corruption. turn off your computer, and then turn it back on and immediately starp tapping the F8 key. After awhile, you will be at the "Advance Boot Options" screen. Use your arrow keys and select "safemode with networking" then press <enter>. once you get to your desktop, the background will be black and your icons might appear to be a little larger than normal. Open up Internet and go to this site:http://www.superantispyware.com/
    download the free version, don't select save, select <Run> that way you can stay in safemode and scan when it's finished installing.

    Once the program is installed, check for updates. After updates have been applied, perform a full scan on C: drive.
    After the scan is complete, click <next> and the program will remove any threats detected......HOPE THIS HELPS
