need help

    every time i download something my computer goes off, a blue screen comes up saying it shut down to prevent damage the only error type message is ,stop :0x000000d1 ( 0x00000000 ,0x00000002,0x00000000,0xfd6d8e1c8)
    symtdi.sys-address f6d8e1c8 base at f6d6d000 ,datestamp 3d83eb3e does that make sense to anyone and eveytime i turn my comp on after it starts an error message comes up
    error /loading c:\progra~,\newdot~1\newdot~1,dll the specified module could not be found. just started doing all this and the only recent programs i have downloaded are for my dvd burner and i uninstalled those but it still happens.all info below any help would be great or recommend a program that might find problems

    Did you ntocie this in the error?

    Uninstall the Norton products on your computer.

    If that helps, and it should, reinstall them and see if the problem comes back. If it doesn't, then you are probably good to go, in regards to the blue screen error.

    yes it in the message but i dont have any norton products

    You do if that file is on your system.

    Or used to.

    Uninstalled any Norton products as of late?

    thanks for the help the link for the norton uninstall seems to have worked for the download problem i havent had any norton products for a long time but there were files in the driver folder of system32 file looked like from 2002 anyway thanks again if anyone has any ideas about this , eveytime i turn my comp on after it starts an error message comes up
