need help

    I have a hp pavilion 533w.It has 2ghz celeron cpu.I want to uprade my mb and cpu but dont know what type of motherboard will fit in my case.thanx

    Basicly anything you can find in a computer store. If you don't know what your case is, it's got a 99% chance of being an ATX case. The odds of buying a non ATX board by accident are pretty small, the average store most likely doesn't even carry any that arn't ATX or micro ATX (micro ATX would fit just fine as well, it's just smaller and usually has less features on it because of this).

    What you need to match is the CPU to the motherboard. The case will work with pretty much anything though.

    his case is a micro-ATX .. thus needing a micro-ATX motherboard ... just be careful not to buy a mobo that is too big ... I would think one with 1 AGP slot and 3 PCI slots would be fine ... although from the specs at HPs site they only show 3 PCI slots so just be aware .. you can look at the back of your case to see how many slots your mobo can have
