Need Info on USB Memory

    Ok I am looking into buying one of the USB memory sticks. Most likely a 256 MB stick. Does anybody have any advice? I don't really know much about them, somebody want to fill me in on how they work, and if they are worth buying. I am sick of floppy drives, but sometimes I hate burning a cd that barely has anything on it. Which is why I want a USB Memory stick.

    They work great. I use a USB 2.0 256mb PNY thumb drive. Works great!

    How do they work? Just plug it in and it shows up as a removable drive.. simple as that.. just copy and paste your stuff. I have a 128MB thumb drive.. Beats wasting a CD any day!

    I'm too scared I'd lose the damn thing... they're so small :eek: :lol: I'd get one but for the most part I don't move a lot of data off my own network, and in the case that I do, I normally FTP it over:\

    I use my to carry around files I use often, and as Kodo said, beats wasting a CD.
    I usually only use it from work to home, etc.

    Cool, I was looking around and i found these two that seemed good.

    SanDisk Cruzer Mini - USB Flash Drive - 512MB - SDCZ2-512-A10 $69.99
    OR
    SanDisk Cruzer Mini - USB Flash Drive - 256MB - SDCZ2-256-A10 - New! $34.99

    I don't really know which one to get i mean i know bigger is almost always better, but
    not all the time. Which one do you think i should get. It will just be for moving files that don't fit on a floppy but i don't want to waste a cd for.

    I think the 256mb one would suit your needs just fine. If you need to carry around more than 512, then you can justify burning a CD ;)
