Need Memory Leak Tool Recommendation

I run Win98SE, Pentium III with 512MB RAM and 40GB HD.

I've got it tuned to just about where I like it, except that when I exit applications, I notice that system resources never seem to be reclaimed and bumped up to where I think they should be - like just after startup completes and everything is at 85%. When I finish a session it looks like it never gets back up above 73%.

My first suspicion is that there are memory leaks.

    Can anyone recommend either:

    1) a comprehensive investigative approach to verify that my problem is a memory leak problem, and
    2) a memory leak tool that reclaims memory after an application is exited?

    Tia,

98's memory managment isnt all that hot. I would try cacheman in our memory section to see if that helps.
