If it's a DSL broadband service, possibly. You'll need to ask the new service provider if the modem is compatible with their network.

In some cases, DSL providers will toss in a new modem/router for free if you sign a one year contract. It doesn't hurt to ask.

If you switch to a cable TV ISP (like Comcast or Time-Warner), you'll have to replace it since the connections are different.

    Hope this helps. :)

That is like saying your car is Red, when someone asks you what kind of car you drive. What is the model# of the 2wire RG that you have? Most are locked to the provider like the 3xxx series, and cannot be used with another provider.

All you had to do was post the model# off of it, not post the link. As for the 2700 series, those can be used with different providers, and are not locked to the original ISP you got it through.
