Need new case.

I am in need of purchasing a new case. Most cases that I have found state that they are compatible with mini-ATX and Standard ATX motherboards. Is there any way to tell if the motherboard I have is either of those? I am currently using an AmethystM-GL6E motherboard. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated! Happy new year to all of you!

 

According to Motherboard Specifications, MS-7184, you have a micro-ATX board, there, so it should fit in any MicroATX Mini Tower, MicroATX Mid Tower, or standard ATX case.

 

Well, if I had known it was that simple I wouldn't have posted the question, lol. I searched all over google for that information, never came across that site. Thank you very very much!

 

So what kind of case are you looking to get? I have been really impressed with the Antec 300 cases I have. Very nice, for the $.

 

I am not really too sure what I plan to get yet. I really need something that allows for expansion, and allows me to provide ample cooling, be that water or air.

I will have to check into the Antec 300.

Im using it. the case has got a 360mm side fan and a 250mm front fan:-D though you need to purchase a 120mm fan for the back if you want one...

(they havent wired the case properly in that image. the A+ symbol and a thickish line underneath it on the door should also light up blue)

If not that go for the Antec 300 Gaming Case... its got... lots of fans :-D

2 120mm optional front 120mm fans, one 120mm exhaust fan, one 140mm top exhaust, and an optional 120mm side panel fan, with a nice front air filter! Awesome for air cooling, I would want something bigger for water cooling. If you are good at working in smaller cases you could probably get wc in the case.

 

The Antec 900 is a very impressive case, very quite too so I hear ... or don't :-D
