Need new search engine

Looking for a search engine to replace Google I don't like that its saving and sharing information without my consent. Any info would help.

The popularity of this search engine is impressive. It's also private.

 

You can also enable a little extra security by enabling WOT - Web of Trust in the DDG search results.

How to enable WOT in DuckDuckGo (also works in the mobile version of DDG):

• More > Settings > All WOT + Favicons (both)

or

• More > Settings > Just WOT Ratings

 

Well said. Everything you do online is logged by some server, somewhere. You can't get around that.

I would venture to say that the tracking your ISP does on you is more to worry about then what Google is doing. But that's just me.

 

Not that it's any better or more private but I use "Dogpile" for my default search engine. It has several neat features that I like as well.

 

I second DuckDuckGo. I think it's the best search engine.

I believe I read somewhere that blekko is the most secure.
