Need Protection Software

    Bob d. needs some suggestions for good quality computer protection. Something that would protect my internet .Free is nice, but I would not baulk at a reasonably priced software that had a "good" firewall.
    I am not very knowledgeable about such things. I recently "got my nose rubbed in it" . I do not care to explain
    further :( Laptop is running Win 7 Professional

    Sit behind a router and use the Windows 7 built in firewall. I haven't had a problem in over a decade (not running 7 for that long but I was using the built in on XP).
