Need Reccomendation On Solid Software To Police My Parents Internet

My mother has fallen for an identity theft scam, the one where you call in to have a virus "fixed" etc. She shut it down 2 minutes into the process she says but realistically they had probably already downloaded all the emails from her windows 10 account that is always logged in. As well as installed all manner of backdoors into the machine. I changed her passwords and everything from my machine while i was on the phone with her got her to call all the appropriate places. But she had all her god damn tax information, addresses, resume, etc in her email ripe for the taking.

I just cannot handle fixing their machine anymore, I can't trust them to not punch the monkey, or to ignore other inane click bait/scam ads that come up. I want to lock it down as much as possible while still allowing them to talk with their friends and interact with family on things like facebook. Shop on legitimate and verified sites. I had malware bytes pro/ad block but she quite literally allowed the person access to her machine because the damn ad told her to and she couldn't figure out how to close it.

 

Create a new administrator account with a password (don't forget it) for yourself on your parent's computer.
Then change the account they use to a standard account.
And you'll have to speak to them - internet security is at least as important as the user's behaviour.
