Need Recovery Software

Hello,

I am writing as I need to recover an hdd that was formatted by mistake.

Major Geeks has lots of software listed but which one would be best for home user?
Or which ones would be best?

I have never had to use anything like this because I image all my hard drives. If one was formatted, I'd simply restore the latest image.

Thanks for the fast reply to my issue.

I will take a look at the links and see which will suit my needs best.
I do prefer paid for most software but it depends.
